In his performance, Adam Gallagher reinterpreted the work Audience (2025), transforming it into a provisional loudspeaker system. Supported by his double, LULU THE TOOL, Gallagher transmitted a musical message within the Overbeck Pavilion. By repurposing Asta Lynge’s sculpture, Adam Gallagher/LULU THE TOOL created a new sound piece.
TRUST TRUST brought together musical fragments from Sinéad O’Connor’s song Troy, everyday sounds such as throat clearing, coughing, and sniffing, and an artistic text. The result was a multilayered soundscape that unfolded and constantly shifted throughout the space. The work reflected on the mutability of sound over time and context, exploring everyday experiences, shifts in perspective, and the subtle sounds of life — oscillating between restlessness, resilience, and acoustic attentiveness.
