“Urban Soundscape” explores the acoustic diversity of Lübeck through an interdisciplinary approach. In workshops, soundwalks and artistic interventions, students, artists and local residents investigate how sounds shape our perception of public space. The resulting sound works bring hidden stories, social structures and distinctive sonic sites to life. The sound trail invites visitors to experience Lübeck’s diverse soundscapes and opens up new perspectives on the city.

The “Urban Soundscape” project was realized in cooperation with Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design Kiel, Lübeck University of Applied Sciences, and other cultural and educational institutions in Lübeck.

Opening Programme:
14:00 Opening reception at the Bürgergärten next to the Overbeck-Gesellschaft.
15:00 Presentation of the participatory project “The Inside from the Outside” by Leonid Kharlamov and Felix Mayer.
16:00 Live act by Höfer / Lütgen. Modified instrumental and electronic sounds, noise-based textures, electronica, ambient and soundscape compositions.
There will also be artist talks and guided tours with curator Benjamin Stumpf.
